Burgie Estate, Moray, Scotland

Located near Forres, Burgie Estate has provided a varied Eucalypt species and planting project site location in 2019 and 2020, in a prime climatic site in Scotland.

The uppermost part of the estate has more exposed elements and has been planted over the past year with Tasmanian mountain type Eucalypt species such as E.coccifera and E.urnigera. These are naturally adapted to climatically exposed and nutrient low-status ground conditions.

The robust and productive E.glaucescens originally from the Victorian plateau, is the primary species planted throughout the remainder of Burgie Estate Eucalyptus project areas. On the more fertile and protected areas within Burgie Estate E.dalrympleana have been planted.
